The riveting story of a medical oversight, an advocate mother, and an unimaginable loss. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and, as a medical student, reminded
me of the importance of treating the patient, rather than the diagnosis. Nobody knows the patient’s body better than themselves and this should be highlighted in the future of medicine.

If you're a parent, a sibling, a relative, a friend, a medical professional, or another human being - you need to read this. It is a personal story of love, commitment, loss, heartbreak, and finding the message in the mess. The author bares her soul to share her experience advocating for her daughter, Brandi, from diagnosis through Brandi's passing.

Deeply moving, profoundly relatable, frustrating, hopeful, and ultimately, a story that will benefit the reader in their own life's journey because it is being shared. Applause to Kathy Keppel-Colkitt for being brave enough, strong enough, and willing to take us through Brandi's journey. Share this book with everyone you know.
